B-Corp is at the heart of our Company

 

As of December 2021, we are now one of the highest scoring recruitment companies in the UK to become a certified B-Corp.

Our journey dates back nearly 20 years, when we began campaigning for stronger inclusivity and a level playing field for gender and ethnic minority recruitment in the marketing, PR and sports marketing industries. As a progressive recruitment company we set out to change the face of the marketing and communications sector for good.

Being a certified B-Corp means that we are officially recognised for our commitment to being a business that has put societal change, sustainability and excellent corporate governance at the heart of our corporate objectives alongside our commercial goals.

The B-Corp Process

 

B-Corp Certification is appointed to Companies meeting high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency.

 

The certification process is rigorous and is measured against B Lab’s standards. This includes demonstrating a high social and environmental performance of a score of 80 or above. We are proud to have achieved a high score of 109.

 

Our B-Corp certification is central to f1’s aim to increase the representation of black, Asian, minority ethnic communities, lower socio economic communities and women in the Marketing, Communications, Digital and Sports Marketing sectors.

 

Ongoing Commitment


We have made many advances in recruitment practices during the last few years which have resulted in over 25% of the candidates we placed in roles in 2021 coming from black, Asian, minority ethnic communities.

We have exciting programmes, projects and partnerships in store for 2022 to increase this number!

This is only the beginning of our journey and we are committed to continuously improve our positive impact both socially and environmentally. We believe that we must lead the change we seek in the world.
