Global Sports Marketing Manager, Football (EMEA) – Based in Amsterdam – INHOUSE

JOB MISSION:

 

The Global Sports Marketing Manager, will serve in a pivotal growth role shaping the immediate and long-term future of Global Football Sports Marketing.

 

Working closely with cross-functional teams internally/externally, the role will lead, innovate, and execute our Global Football Sports Marketing strategy in key non-UK EMEA markets including Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Portugal etc.

 

This role will be seeking, signing, and servicing both sponsored and prospective athletes, while also building strong relationships with agents, athletes, clubs, scouts, and regional/local internal teams in effort to drive maximum heat for the brand via new and exciting partnership opportunities.

 

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Ø Strategically plan, execute, and manage global football strategy in collaboration with key markets across EMEA (non-UK) with primary focus on elite players.

Ø Manage, identify, negotiate and service athlete partnership contracts.

Ø Maximize ROI of partnerships across brand and against key business objectives via collaboration with global, regional, and local teams.

Ø Develop, foster, and maximize relationships with agents, athletes, scouts, clubs, and relevant industry leaders.

Ø Execute academy athlete strategy strengthening brand’s presence across top European clubs in key markets.

Ø Attend matches, photo shoots, charitable activations, and other athlete-related events.

Ø Manage budget and strategically optimize spend across multiple years.

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

Ø 5+ years of progressive international experience working in football industry.

Ø Robust existing network across European football industry.

Ø Fluent in English and fluency in German/Spanish is desirable.

Ø Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to effectively manage teams internally and externally at varying levels of seniority.

Ø Superior negotiation, organizational, verbal/written presentation skills.

Ø Strategic thinker, with proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ø Self-motivated and entrepreneurial spirit with sense of urgency.

Ø International/Domestic Travel: 25%-50% (occasional evenings/weekend required).

Ø European citizenship.
