Role: Global Account Director  – Sport 

Location: London – Global Travel 30%

Salary: £80k – £95k + commission and company benefits

Our client is a fast-growing agency that provides consultancy and strategy delivery to brands, sports teams, leagues, rights holders, federations, talent, media and governments who want to exceed their business goals and ignite positive social change. Spun off from the global movement. We have grown significantly since its inception, tripling its staff and steeply climbing in profits and clients in the last three years.

 

This significant role within the business will lead on the long-term growth, business development and aspirations of the organisation. The role will consist of three main key components:

Developing and managing sustainable growth processes within the business

  • Expand on the current long-term strategy and developing the operational and implementation plan to succeed in achieving it
  •  Link the long-term strategy into the wider business infrastructure, ensuring a consistent and streamlined consultancy offering across the various expertise, skills-sets and assets
  • Develop and oversee efficient structures for working as the company continues to quickly grow

Leading on business development and client acquisition

  • Work with Strategy Director, Managing Director and Founder to create business development strategy that will grow our client-base beyond the sport industry, with a focus on consumer brands
  • Lead on implementation of this strategy
  • Develop and oversee pipeline of potential business opportunities
  • Oversee development of pitches and proposals to potential clients
  • Identify the best opportunities of organic growth, investment opportunities and acquisition opportunities and recommend it to Managing Director and Founder
  • Develop and grow the credibility and reputation of the organisation as a leader in purpose-based consultancy to brands
  • Lead on conversion strategy of our sponsors to our clients

Overseeing the account management of all clients

  • Own and lead end-to-end delivery – from pitch to kick-off to implementation strategy of each account
  • Work with the Strategy Director to develop teams (account managers and strategists) and support them in delivery
  • Client relationship lead; Manage the account managers and strategists as teams to ensure impeccable delivery to clients
  • Oversee progress of client projects and ensuring deliverables are being met
  • Ensure from proposal phase to completion phase that we are delivering within scope (avoiding over-servicing whilst ensuring quality delivery)
  • Work with Head of Operations and Finance Director in budgeting and forecasting
