Today we launched Back2businessship 2019 programme, our government backed Marketing and Communications Returner’s programme. This year we have taken our programme out to the Thames Valley and have a focus on the Technology, FinTech and Financial Services Sectors. We met over 30 really talented and driven delegates at Oracle HQ in Reading who are hosting the programme this year. The Returners are marketing, comms and PR professionals living in Reading and the surrounding areas who have taken a career break for caring responsibilities. Some of the delegates are based in London and will reverse commute – others want to work in the Thames Valley – many will work in London as well.
Last year over 25 companies attended our speed dating event on the last day of our programme where our returners get the chance to practice their elevator pitches. We are inviting a select number of company Marketing, Communications Directors and Talent Directors to attend the speed dating event at Oracle on Thursday 21st March. CIM, Nationwide, Oracle, Golin PR, RG/A will be there this year.
