NoTurningBack2020 are proud to announce our first ever, in person, talk to a lecture theatre full of level 3 BTEC social media and film students. NoTurningBack2020 were asked to attend as part of Westminster Kingsway´s quest to broaden the minds of their students to careers in Marketing and Communications. Students were offered the chance to start their industry networking journey with the NoTurningBack2020 Inclusive Employer Community.
Qasim Zaidi , Communications Officer, London Sport and Nsikan Edung, External Communications Manager attended Westminster Kingsway’s new Soho site, facing a tough teenage crowd of Film and Media students. Our two brilliant ambassadors, both from schools in the East End of London tackled the silence head-on, sharing their careers in PR — highlighting the dynamic skills required and the excitement of the job.
Qasim even drew a question from the audience: “What’s been your most challenging moment?” A bold ask from a West King student! Meanwhile, Nsikan, delved into the high-stakes world of reputation management—navigating crises like hacking scandals, drug rings, and corporate rebuilding. A strong start, demonstrating a high level of engagement in person – arguably better than on-line.
