The Role

Working for a fantastic company which builds brands through the management and creation of preschool and children’s entertainment content on online platforms, the successful candidate will be the lead for the strategy, execution and evaluation of all trade and internal communications to successfully drive the business. You will work closely with the internal Partnerships Team, Ad Sales Team, Studios and parent company Corporate Communications as well as external trade partners including Licensing and Toy Partners.

The Trade Marketing and PR Manager will create a marketing strategy and plan to promote the company with a consistent, clear brand proposition. You will be responsible for articulating key messages, developing strong and impactful presence at key shows and marketing materials, and overseeing all official communications to our partners. This remit includes trade publicity, events, online profile building, internal communications, licensing partner and internal communications.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent track record in promoting, driving and building the trade profile of an entertainment company and be fluent in the dynamics of working with brands. This is a role for an experienced trade/ B2B marketing manager who understands the kids & family space, licensing, content distribution and advertising in the digital space. Key Responsibilities

• Create and execute a commercial marketing strategy which supports The company’s strategic priorities
• Liaise with toy and licensing partners to ensure strong marketing plans are in place and to support key initiatives
• Manage press releases with an external agency, and handle all approvals with 3rd parties
• Develop and adhere to communications processes, messaging guidelines
• Work closely with the agency Media Investor Relations and Corporate Communications to provide updates and insights as required
• Plan and organise the company’s presence attendance at key trade events including Kidscreen, MIPCOM, CMC
• Work with all internal teams to produce clear, smart, well-designed, accurate and compelling marketing collateral for internal and external use
• Help secure and oversee all editorial features in all media
• Write copy for the website and help product team with marketing collateral when required
• Review and analyse marketing campaigns, promotions and initiatives and evaluate ROI
• Manage budgets

Essential Skills/Competencies

• Proven track record in delivering outstanding trade marketing solutions in the entertainment industry (kids & family would be a plus)
• A deep understanding about how to stand out in a highly cluttered competitive marketplace
• At ease with creative development, strategic thinking and execution
• An excitement about working in the kids and family space
• Embrace working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment
• Ability to flex your approach for the good of the team, brands and business
• Excellent oral and written communications skills and ability to use these skills to positively influence people around you
