Senior Associate Director/Director, Marketing & Communications. Media Agency Group, Worldwide Team. £75k + benefits

Are you an experienced Communications and Marketing Associate Director ready for the next step to Director? Or recently promoted to Director and looking for a new challenge at this level – maybe a move to a global role?  Do you currently work for the marketing and communications team of a media agency, media owner, advertising agency, integrated communications agency and have a good understanding of media agencies?  If so, we may have the job for you.  

Our client, a global media group, is looking to hire an exceptional individual to join the worldwide marketing and commincations team at an exciting time for the network.

This role is instrumental in building the agencies profile and reputation in the industry, through market leading communications strategies and marketing assets that get the attention of key audiences and galvanise the network of 100+ offices.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years relevant communications and/or marketing experience from an agency background such as media agency, advertising, PR, digital, media owner or from a client-side marketer.

Sitting at the heart of the organisation you will build relationships and work closely with multiple stakeholders, including senior management, the business development team, regional and local marketing teams, while overseeing the day to day of the small (but mighty) team of two direct reports.

You have a ‘can do’ and collaborative attitude.  You are a hand-raiser not a finger-pointer who proactively gets on with the project, and who is innovative and inventive around barriers and obstacles when and if they arise.  You will have strong organisational and communications skills, be a confident presenter and a creative and strategic thinker.

Reporting to and working closely with the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, you will be responsible for developing creative approaches, strategies and assets across all key marketing functions including:

  • PR / Media Relations
  • Internal Communications
  • The agency’s thought-leadership publications (creation and leveraging)
  • Marketing materials for the network; social / events / adverts / posters etc
  • Content marketing
  • News blog
  • Awards (video creation, script writing, paper submissions)
  • Conferences (arranging speakers, timings, promotional materials)
  • Agency & Network of the Year submissions (written, video)
  • Website and Social (content calendar, dashboard monitoring and amplification)
  • Communications best practice
