Head of Communications
Our client, a sports governing body, is looking for a senior communications professional with a passion for using sport for good, to join their small but incredibly busy communications function. Both the business and the sport are at a transformational stage of their growth, the successful candidate will be attracted by the opportunity to shape the future of the team, the business and the sport.
You will have worked in either an agency or brand (or both) where managing multiple projects and stakeholders has been an essential part of your success. You will probably have worked with sports or entertainment properties in the past and have a good understanding of how a brand can leverage rights both for commercial and other benefits e.g. participation, education, out-reach.
Personally you have terrific energy, with the pace and guile to navigate complex multi-layered situations. You are someone that can easily influence and persuade and have confidence presenting at C-Suite. You are a capable of big picture thinking but also willing and able to roll your sleeves up and muck in. You will have a track record in growing and motivating teams.
Mostly you must really believe that sport has a positive part to play in our communities not just as means to being fit and healthy but as a vehicle to tackle real social and economic challenges. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org
