A PR & Comms / Communications agency that genuinely has got the culture nailed looking for an experienced Director! They have a genuinely collaborative approach towards their teams and have always respected work-life balance. Their hybrid working model is 40% office and 60% home and there is flexibility to what this looks like. They will consider 3, 4 or 5 days a week, so the role can be either part-time or full-time.
They are looking to expand their SLT by hiring another Director, ideally with some Financial Services experience. If you’ve worked in an industry that has been regulated before, this would also work well e.g. Legal, Insurance, Professional services etc.
You will be the lead on six retained accounts meaning setting the strategic agenda and being the senior client counsel. The company works in a ‘Matrix-style’ structure which means they work with different individuals on different accounts.
Some accounts require real hands-on idea generation and writing expertise. Others benefit from a slightly more hands-off approach. This really depends on the team and the client. The work can range from thought leadership project ideas to crisis fire-fighting. You will be involved with 90% of the weekly status calls, ensuring that you’ve either written or seen editorial content that goes to the client, take an active role in journalist relations and ensure you check-in with my client-side lead on a regular basis.
New Business – to be fully involved in new business. This might include sourcing opportunities, leading on a full, RFP-style pitch or something lighter-touch like a creds meeting.
Management Team – be part of the SLT
The role is varied, busy and offers a hybrid working model (40% office and 60% home – there is flexibility to what this looks like.
