Creative Strategy Manager

We’re looking for a Creative Strategy Manager to join the growing Strategy team for Talent and Influencer Marketing.

The role will partner with the team to provide consultation on campaign and creative strategy for  clients across multiple verticals. In this role you will be responsible for developing creative and meaningful solutions for clients, unlocking and developing best-in-class talent and influencer strategies and activations that drive business results.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Work with global teams, supporting full service offering through the lens of creative ideation, developing creative strategy and culturally relevant solutions that win pitches and result in successful talent and influencer campaigns and activations
  • Work closely with Senior Strategist and Creative Strategist to ensure all creative is underpinned with robust data and insight
  • Brainstorm new ideas for creative and digital-first assets, staying on top of trends on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and other social media platforms
  • Research new marketing developments, industry trends and identify potential creative opportunities for our clients
  • Produce creative strategy documents for client work, storyboarding ideas and showcasing data and/or insight-led rationale for why that creative will work
  • Develop great content ideas and engaging materials that answer our client briefs and exceed their expectations, taking into account what’s happening in the talent, influencer and social space, both now and in the future
  • Collaborate with Business Development team to develop proposals and proactive pitches for clients that are motivated by creative, social and digital strategy, that captivates and engages the intended audience
  • Lead and actively participate in brainstorms for creative ideation and casting, developing innovative, on-brand creative solutions that our clients couldn’t get anywhere else
  • Build and sustain close relationships with key social platforms to ensure we stay at the forefront of the latest updates and trends
  • Work cross-functionally with our sister agency partners to outsource creative production for clients as required, for example the creation of custom filters and lenses, AR/VR effects and more
  • Serve as a thought leader across the business on topics of creative and strategy alongside Senior Strategist and Creative Strategist, proactively sharing relevant insights and ideas and contributing to monthly and quarterly strategy reports to ensure we are at the forefront of creative, digital, social and influencer trends
  • Support marketing efforts when required, providing thought leadership ideation around creative strategy
  • Perform competitive analysis, industry research and assessment of best practices in a consistently changing landscape to ensure we’re staying ahead of our competitors and our clients are pioneers in their vertical

 

ABOUT YOU

You are well-versed in content trends and creative strategy across different verticals and touchpoints, with a particular interest in the world of talent and influence. You  will have proven experience in creative strategy/digital creative solutions or similar in a creative/media agency or brand, having worked in this space for around 3-5 years. You are go getting, creative and strategic with a proactive and forward-thinking approach to solving brands’ problems. You bring a work ethic that embodies a “how can we make this happen” mentality with a strong sense of initiative and personal ownership.

You have a strong interest in social media, pop culture/entertainment and what’s trending culturally, with a finger on the pulse of what is driving conversation and delivering results. You will be able to demonstrate your experience by the following:

  • You are highly creative, understanding content trends and the nuances of different brand content touchpoints/routes to activation
  • You have a thorough understanding of the social and digital content ecosystem, with an awareness of the content and user behaviour trends across a broad range of existing and emerging social platforms and what content and creative works best across each
  • You are culturally in tune, you know exactly what’s going on in the world and where brands can jump on cultural trends and conversations
  • You have advanced proficiency with PowerPoint and are a compelling presenter and storyteller, able to engage top tier clients when presenting
  • You are a creative and strategic all-rounder, able to flex your skills to multiple tasks – researching, social listening, writing, collaborating, preparing decks and presenting
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator, having the ability to excite our clients through articulate, passionate, compelling and succinct delivery of creative solutions
  • You are a team-player, able to build solid relationships and rapport with clients, social media platforms and team
  • You are able to translate complex ideas into simple stories that can gain buy-in from clients
  • You have an in depth understanding of brand comms and how digital influencer and talent strategies complement it
  • Highly organised and process driven with strong time management, keen attention to follow-through and the ability to multi task and manage simultaneous projects, changing priorities when needed
  • Thorough approach to solving problems, with a work ethic than embodies “how can we make this happen”
  • An open mindset and ability to adapt across client categories from fashion, beauty, FMCG, tech, alcohol etc
  • A problem solving attitude and ability to get creative in order to be solution orientated, thinking outside the box to find new ideas
  • A natural curiosity to be always learning about our evolving industry – reading, watching, listening to stay abreast of cultural trends that can inform and impact our work
  • A proactive mindset, always looking at ways we can improve and do better, jumping into projects and sharing thoughts and ideas that will help our work soar
  • Proven strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results and understanding the business impact
  • A change champion who pioneers new ideas and approaches
  • Have a flexible approach and adapts to challenges and changing priorities as needed
  • Graphic design and/or video editing experience beneficial but not essential
