Description:
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to join an iconic global brand with creative flair, ambition and an immediate likeability factor. They are looking to recruit an experienced communications professional to develop and implement unique and stand out campaigns to raise awareness of the brand’s music strategy and initiatives.
Campaigns will leverage the brand’s involvement in UK music and cultural events as well as their own music and brand building events - from large scale participation competitions to niche teen focused digital and social media initiatives. The key is your passion for music and your experience working within the entertainment industry.
Strategies will include more traditional elements of a PR campaign such as onsite Press Office management, feature generation and media relations campaigns, to more creative and forward thinking concepts such as developing TV formats and downloadable digital and mobile content. It will also be important to harness the support of internal teams, from events to digital, owning the strategy and managing their output.
The ideal candidate will either be an established Account Director or Senior Account Director sitting within a PR agency where accounts could include brands sponsoring music, entertainment and cultural projects or you could be on the other side of the fence in a brand which has a strong focus on music, or alternatively working for a record label in a Communications role.
You must be a versatile PR/Communications professional who understands the value of more traditional media tools, but can harness the potential of new platforms - so you must have experience of using digital, mobile and ideally TV programming content as part of your PR strategies.
You will be comfortable putting together standout strategies and whilst you will have activation support, not be afraid to get your hands dirty. We need creative flair, someone not afraid to try new things and take risks.
