An exceptionally exciting brand new role for someone with a varied communications skill set which should include experience in corporate and internal communications.
This is a brand new role with an international iconic media institution. With offices in central London, they are on every news agent’s shelf and the brand is revered around the world.
The role sits within a busy Communications Team and really sits between several of the key functions - therefore requires someone who is used to taking on a broad range of responsibilities and is skilled at getting the most out of their colleagues.
Key to this role is a passion for Internal Communications and experience managing intranets, producing e-newsletters, creating presentations and internal videos. You will embrace the various technologies at hand to enable you to reach out to the broad internal audience and invent new ways of communicating with them - could include social media.
You will also have had exposure to Corporate Communications, be able to understand corporate messaging, research information for senior management presentations and speeches and support the Deputy Communications Director with ongoing projects.
An interest in CSR is also desirable as the role will involve communicating CSR activity internally and externally. Exposure to a Press Office environment would be beneficial as you will from time to time support colleagues with consumer campaigns and manage the online media centre.
I am looking for candidates with a strong interest in Internal Communications, who are excellent writers and are used to using a variety of technology platforms to enhance both external and internal communications. You will also have a thorough understanding of the UK media and have an interest in business issues, news and current affairs. The right person will be proactive, have gravitas and charm, be a confident networker and team player.
