Description:
Fantastic opportunity to join highly respected organisation doing a great deal of good in developing countries. This not for profit organisation have received world recognition in the media and achieved global press coverage for their work; which in one instance led to invaluable self help during a major disaster recovery.
They require an experienced PR & Online Comms Executive to help to champion their charitable work, campaigns and fundraising activity. The role will be split equally between online communications & PR:
• To be responsible for writing, editing and uploading content for the charity’s including visual/audio. To contribute to an ongoing review and re-development of the website, including good knowledge of social networking sites and audience capture.
• To be responsible for sourcing stories and generating regional media coverage.
• To provide admin and campaign support for the press team. Excellent systems management experience.
• To recruit and manage PR volunteers.
You should have a minimum of 1 years hands on experience in either a busy press office or PR agency and be confident writing & loading content onto the web - plus have a good understanding of the use of social networking within campaigns. Excellent written, spelling, grammar and verbal skills are a prerequisite for the role and you must be a confident proof reader. These skills will be tested at interview.
