| Salary: | c£35,000 |
| Employer: | Top independent PR agency |
Description:
Our client is one of the largest independent PR agencies in the UK. They build corporate reputations and promote business services. Their clients cover a wide spectrum of sectors including the environment, education, political planning, transport and professional services.
They are looking to recruit an Account Manager keen to work on a broad mix of political, corporate and b2b accounts. Because the agency’s role is to inform and influence the media and a wide range of stakeholders, they need candidates with exceptional communication skills, especially a strong writing ability - you will need to demonstrate experience of writing in different styles and producing a range of printed materials. You will have creative energy and conviction, the ability to drive accounts, developing and delivering campaigns with flair.
The ideal candidate will be a graduate with a strong academic track record, will have worked for an agency for at least 2 years and the appeal of this role will be the opportunity to work on both public affairs and corporate accounts. You will have a genuine interest in the business world, political and socio-economic factors affecting society today. This interest will equip you with the passion and confidence to foster successful relationships with journalists and politicians - a natural media hound, quick to scope out the media and political landscape for clients. You also need to have previously managed account teams and enjoy mentoring junior executives.
In return you will be given the opportunity to work with a group of passionate and intelligent professionals, where team work is a priority and results achieved through a strong work ethic and commitment to their clients. Consultant’s careers are high on the agenda and training and development will enable you to develop into the PR professional you want to become.
