Description:
Leading sports organisation is looking for a French speaking PR Manager to join their Culture team. They are looking for someone with an indepth knowledge of the Arts, Music, Film, Fashion or Design.
Sitting within a team organizing a UK wide 3 year cultural festival to support a high profile international event, the focus of this role will be providing strategic communication advice to the team and leading the delivery of PR and media plans to support the festivities, projects and partnerships.
You will be responsible for planning and executing proactive campaigns, media launches and other promotional events, as well as handling any negative media issues. You will work with multiple internal stakeholders sharing with them the cultural team’s strategic PR plans and also ensuring that where possible there is synergy with other areas of the business. You will also manage a range of external agencies and suppliers.
Significant communications and media experience in the cultural section is a prerequisite as is a working knowledge of French and ideally another European language. You will also be able to demonstrate experience of working with International media and have excellent negotiation and influencing skills, to persuade senior officials to do media activity and to sometimes persuade media not to run certain stories.
