Description:
Prestigious high street name requires talented Press Officer with expertise in food & drink sector to join their talented press & communications team.
This varied role will involve managing the day to day activity of the food press office including overseeing press assistants. This will involve story generation, proactively dealing with the media and responding to their requests, liaising with PR agencies plus you will also have involvement in planning and organizing press shows and events.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in PR (either agency to SAE/AM level or in-house) within the food & drink sector; your strong grasp of food / nutritional issues and excellent media contacts in this area will prove invaluable. You will be organized and possess a creative approach / have the ability to generate ideas plus experience of motivating and managing a team. Experience of crisis management and / or wine specifically is a bonus but not essential.
