Athlete Marketing Executive
Sport is at the heart of this company’s marketing activity. They have established a presence across a wide range of sports, building credible relationships with governing bodies and athletes. This role focuses on putting their athlete ambassadors at the core of the marketing programme.
They have a varied portfolio of athletes and are keen to keep expanding this - especially keeping an eye out for up and coming talent - but ensuring that the athletes fit with the brand’s messages and identity. You will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated marketing campaigns that leverage these relationships, building the profile of both the athlete and the brand. Lots of creativity and innovative thinking is needs to deliver unique and subtle campaigns, working to also strengthen relationships with sporting communities, rights holders and influencers. You will work closely with internal teams especially events, sales and communications.
The ideal candidate will have been an athlete themselves, used to playing at a competitive level but now retired and working in sports marketing, or working alongside training.
You will be credible within the sports industry, be well networked and used to working with athletes and sporting brands. You will ideally have experience working across a wide range of sports - from rugby, cricket and motor racing to surfing and snowboarding. Team and budget management experience and be used to working in a multi stakeholder, fast pace, creative and passionate environment.
