Amanda Fone FIRP - Founder and Managing Partner
Amanda is the Founder and Managing Partner of f1 recruitment llp. f1 celebrated its 6th birthday on April 5th 2010. Amanda has 27 years experience interviewing and recruiting marketing and communications professionals at senior level for leading companies spanning many different industry sectors. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals.
In just 6 years f1 has established itself as one of the best networked consultancies in London. It has a candidate portfolio of over 8,500 interviewed marcoms professionals and has built an enviable client base of some of the leading FTSE 250 companies, start ups and marcoms agencies in the UK. f1 international was launched in 2007 to help candidates build global careers.
From April 1996 until March 2004 Amanda was Managing Director of Pathfinders Media Recruitment. Pathfinders achieved recognition as a clear leader in the media and communications recruitment market place during Amanda’s leadership. Amanda was a Board Director of Angela Mortimer plc for fifteen years and helped grow the company from a turnover of £1million to over £30 million.
In 1999 Amanda successfully launched the Pathfinders Media Boss of the Year Award that recognises Bosses as mentors in the workplace. This award celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2009 and is now branded Media Employer of the Year. She introduced an acclaimed work placement programme for clients to meet outstanding graduates during their vacations whilst championing an ethnicity programme with the IPA and IPR for the Advertising and PR industry. Amanda also facilitated the accreditation of IIP (Investors in People) for Pathfinders and the Angela Mortimer Group.
Amanda has been a Finalist in the Cosmopolitan Young Women of Achievement Awards, a member of the steering group that launched the international “Take Our Daughters to Work” campaign and has been a Director of the National Youth Ballet of Great Britain since 1990. She pioneered “The Occasional Club” – a network of senior marketers and communications professionals that meet to discuss industry issues. Amanda is married with two school age sons and two grown up stepchildren and lives in Kent.
